STT alumna Anna Esenther named 2020 Rhodes Scholar!
Ms. Anna Esenther, who is currently a first-grade teacher at Inca Elementary in Buckeye, Arizona, graduated in 2019 from the Honors College at Michigan State University, with five majors including Statistics! She become only the 20th MSU graduate to receive the prestigious Rhodes Scholarship for graduate study at Oxford University in England. The Scholarship was established over a century ago by Cecil J. Rhodes, an industrialist and politician, known for establishing British rule in Rhodesia (present-day Zambia and Zimbabwe). It is awarded yearly only to 100 scholars worldwide, who are citizens of former British colonies.
