MSU Trustees honor three students for academic excellence

Three hundred and fifteen Michigan State University graduates accomplished something many students dream of — a perfect college GPA. Among the honorees, three are from the Department of Statistics and Probability.

During its April 10 meeting, the MSU Board of Trustees presented the 315 graduating seniors with the Board of Trustees’ Award, recognizing their achievement of the highest scholastic average one can receive: a 4.0 GPA.

The students honored for this academic achievement include:

  • Wyatt D. Flatt, who earned a bachelor’s in economics from the College of Social Science and in statistics from the College of Natural Science, is a member of the Honors College from East Lansing, Michigan.
  • Ece Ugurlu, who earned a bachelor’s in finance from the Eli Broad College of Business and in statistics from the College of Natural Science, is a member of the Honors College from Gumee, Illinois.
  • Yeyao Zhou, who earned a bachelor’s in statistics from the College of Natural Science and is from Suzhou, China.

Along with the board recognition, students were acknowledged during MSU spring commencement ceremonies.
