Assistant Professor Haolei Weng receives William L. Harkness Award
Assistant Professor Haolei Weng was presented with the William L. Harkness Award for outstanding teaching by a faculty member. This award is made possible by a generous gift from William Harkness, a doctoral alumnus of the Statistics and Probability department. Recipients are chosen for their remarkable teaching based on student evaluations and faculty observations of teaching.
“I am honored to be selected to receive the award. I would like to thank faculty and students in the department for this heartening recognition,” said Weng. “I view teaching as one central part of my career. As a junior faculty, I will continually refine my teaching techniques to contribute to the instructional missions in the department.”
