STT Department Welcomes Prospective Undergrad Students

MSU Department of Statistics and Probability (STT) hosted more than 35 prospective STT undergraduate majors visiting campus to take the 2024 Alumni Distinguished Scholarship exam on Friday, January 26 and Friday, February 2. 

The visiting students are outstanding high school seniors who are interested in undergraduate research and came with their parents to learn more about the STT department. They had the opportunity to witness our welcoming environment where they can pursue academic excellence.

Two sessions were held on both dates specified above from 1pm - 2pm and 2:15pm - 3:15pm.  Professors Michele Larson, Leonard Johnson, Vince Melfi and Luda Sakhanenko discussed STT undergraduate curriculum, undergraduate research opportunities, and career path opportunities with these students during both sessions.
